Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife, Wilda Tullis of Corning sons, Wendell Tullis and Lindell Tullis, both of Corning three grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren brothers-in-law, Gordon Talmadge of Grandview, Mo., and Dave Hovey of Warwick, R.I. Preceding Bill in death were his parents and five brothers and sisters. He loved to hunt pheasants and a favorite pastime for Bill was playing cards every Wednesday night at Happy Hollow Country Club. In retirement, Bill mowed yards for various people and businesses.īill was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited. Later, Bill built and operated Bill’s Drive-In, which he sold to Ken Richmond after 15 years. He purchased Carl Johnston’s distributorship in 1967 after moving to Corning. Two sons, Wendell and Lindell, were born to bless this union.įollowing his military service, Bill began his civilian life as a beverage distributor for Pepsi and 7-UP in Kansas City and later in Iowa. Bill was honorably discharged on July 26, 1959, and was later united in marriage to Wilda Ruth Fletchall. Bill entered the United States Navy July 27, 1951, and served during the Korean War. Bill graduated from Stanberry High School with the class of 1951. Memories and condolences may be shared on-line at Billy Eugene Tullis, the son of Earl and Sarah Zoe (Ficklin) Tullis, was born May 22, 1933, in Stanberry, Mo. Memorials may be directed to the Oakland Cemetery Fund. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oakland Cemetery, rural Corning. Funeral services were held Friday, July 14, at Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Corning with Pastor Lauri Greenlee officiating. I waited a day and then contacted the owner directly via email prior to leaving any review. As a "bonus" the crazy eights breadsticks I ordered ended up being Apple streudle with garlic on top - pretty gross. It wasn't at all what we remembered - kinda tasteless and mostly bread. At this point my family was starved and dived right in to be so completely dissapointed. No mention of any of the sodas I was to get for a pick up. And, a good 25 minutes late the order was ready. However, after another 15 minutes I was still told it would be soon. checked in when I arrived and was told it was just being made up - I was early, so that seemed ok. Ordered online for a quick pick up after work. When we moved it was never convenient - but after several years, we thought "that sounds good!" What a terrible dissapointment. We used to order from Pizza Rita quite bit and had always enjoyed it.
